DOUGLAS COUNTY 4-H Douglas County Cooperative Extension 4-H Programs give young people a chance to learn new skills, gain self confidence, and contribute to their communities.
4-H Youth Development faculty and staff create real-world experiences that teach leadership and citizenship skills.
4-H ENROLLMENT – You must enroll or re-enroll online. In certain situations we will take paper enrollments these can be filled out and returned to the office(found at bottom of this page). No enrollments will be done over the phone as we need signatures etc. Please change your email preference to email and not mail.

Welcome to the 4HONLine enrollment process.  Their are packets below with instructions to help you enroll yourself or your children in Douglas County 4-H.  There are separate instructions for families/youth and leaders/volunteers.  You will need access to a computer, your email address and the internet and this program will work with all levels of internet service. Once you complete the enrollment, our office will receive notification and we will approve the membership.  Our yearly dues of $3 for Cloverbuds and $5 for regular membership should be paid to your club leader or to the Extension Office. If you do not have access to a computer or are having difficulty you can ask your fellow 4-Her’s, your leader, or Extension Office 715-395-1363. If you do not have access to a computer come to the 4-H office at 1313 Belknap St., Room 107, fill out a paper form and we will enroll for you.(paper signatures required)
We are open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Please call for an appointment for help with enrolling in our office. Please also contact Sharon or Cheryl if you run into problems or are having trouble.  We’ll try to help you as best we can.

To enroll go to http://wi.4honline.com (notice there’s no “www” in that address).  After carefully reading the instructions below and/or at the top of the page, you are ready to begin entering your family information.

4-H Volunteer Leaders

4-H Youth Development programs and activities must be supervised by an adult, 18 years of age or older, who has completed the Youth Protection program and is currently an enrolled 4-H volunteer leader. The primary purpose of this process is to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants (i.e., youth, their parents and families, salaried and volunteer staff.) Refer to the Wisconsin 4-H Youth Development Policies for the complete Youth Protection policies.

  1. In order to initially be recognized as a 4-H volunteer leader in the Wisconsin 4-H Youth Development program, all adults age 18 years and over must participate in the Youth Protection Process.  The Wisconsin 4-H Youth Development Youth Protection program process includes:
    1. Completion of the 4-H Enrollment process online through 4honline at: https://wi.4honline.com This online enrollment process includes:
      1. Volunteer enrollment information (name, address, contact information, etc.)
      2. Approval for University of Wisconsin Extension to run a background records check for arrest and conviction records through the approved channel
      3. Agreement to follow Volunteer Behavior Expectations (this is a box you will check online.) Agreement can also be found at: http://www.uwex.edu/ces/4h/pubs/showdoc.cfm?documentid=45574
    2. Participation in volunteer orientation session. These sessions are typically held quarterly. Please refer the Sauk County 4-H Clover Comments (4-H newsletter) for the next scheduled Volunteer Orientation session.
  2. In order to continue as a 4-H volunteer leader in the Wisconsin 4-H Youth Development program beyond the first year, all adults 18 years of age and over must annually complete the following:
    1. Completion of the 4-H Enrollment process online through 4honline at: https://wi.4honline.com This online enrollment process includes:
      1. Volunteer enrollment information (name, address, contact information, etc.)
      2. Approval for University of Wisconsin Extension to run a background records check for arrest and conviction records through the approved channel.     Note: A background records check for arrest and conviction records will be completed every four years for continuing 4-H volunteer leaders.
      3. Agreement to follow Volunteer Behavior Expectations (this is a box you will check online.) Agreement can also be found at: Volunteer Agreement.

Returning volunteers who have been absent one to four years

  1. Completion of the 4-H Enrollment process online through 4honline at: https://wi.4honline.com This online enrollment process includes:
    1. Volunteer enrollment information (name, address, contact information, etc.)
    2. Approval for University of Wisconsin Extension to run a background records check for arrest and conviction records through the approved channel.
    3. Agreement to follow Volunteer Behavior Expectations (this is a box you will check online.) Agreement can also be found at:Volunteer Agreement.
      Returning volunteers who have been absent five or more years need to repeat the entire Youth Protection process.

      1. Completion of the 4-H Enrollment process online through 4honline at: https://wi.4honline.com This online enrollment process includes:
        1. Volunteer enrollment information (name, address, contact information, etc.)
        2. Approval for University of Wisconsin Extension to run a background records check for arrest and conviction records through the approved channel
        3. Agreement to follow Volunteer Behavior Expectations (this is a box you will check online.) Agreement can also be found at: Volunteer Agreement.
      2. Participation in volunteer orientation session. These sessions are typically held quarterly. Please refer the Douglas County 4-H educator Sharon 715-395-1365 for the next scheduled Volunteer Orientation session.

(Family profile and member information should be entered by a parent/guardian unless the member enrolling is 18 years or older.
Your county Extension office staff can help you find a club, get the forms you need, and begin the enrollment process in 4HOnline.
